Susan Crown '80 B.A.

Susan Crown is a principal of the Chicago firm of Henry Crown & Company, which manages investments in banking, diversified manufacturing, health care, oil and gas, real estate, resort properties, and telecommunications. She also serves as president of the Arie and Ida Crown Memorial, a foundation that concentrates its efforts on education, urban issues, health care, and culture, and on the Middle East. After graduating from Yale, Ms. Crown earned her M.A. at New York University in 1982. She is a director of Illinois Tool Works and the Northern Trust Corporation. She serves as a member of the Executive Committee of Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center, chairman of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, a director of the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, and a member of the United States Olympic Committee CEO Council. She is also a trustee of the Aspen Valley Community Foundation and National Council member of the Rocky Mountain Institute. She was named Successor Fellow in 1994.
