Tangled Up In BlueTangled Up In Blue, also known as TUIB (pronounced "tw-ib," or what rhymes with "dib" or "bib"), is Yale University's only folk singing group featuring traditional folk instruments and four-part vocal harmonies that have, on occasion, made our mothers cry. TUIB was founded in 1986, by Nerissa Nields. Our repertoire includes everything from old traditional songs and Civil War ballads to Johnny Cash to Bob Dylan to Crosby Stills and Nash (and Young). We've traditionally opened for the Connecticut Folk Music Festival and regularly embark on a spring tour to locations around North America, which in the past have included Canada, Florida, Chicago, and more. We also regularly host concerts in and around Yale Campus and New Haven. Auditions: Auditions will take place the week of September 18th. To sign up, you must attend our audition concert on Friday the 17th, time and location TBA.
